Understanding complex problems from different perspectives
My research is concerned with the question of how people and social systems can deal with complex challenges. It centres on connecting different scholarly perspectives, on coping with crisis and uncertainty, and on the question of how communication can contribute to better shared decisions and solutions.
Several interconnected research areas have grown out of this: multi-resilience, communicative complexity management, empathy, and conflict and peace studies.
