Competent in conflicts
Whenever people come together, conflicts can arise. In teams and organisations, the question is therefore not whether we can avoid conflicts, but how we deal with them.
Intelligent conflict management leads to healthier employees, lower conflict costs, better knowledge sharing and thus higher collective performance.
About 10-15% of working time in any organisation is spent on conflict management. Managers spend on average about 30-50% of their working time directly or indirectly on conflict. They are usually the first point of contact.
With the help of this compact seminar offer, you will learn to anticipate conflicts more quickly, to record them systematically and to deal with them confidently – both as a conflict party and as a “neutral third party”. In the broadest sense, you learn to use conflicts as a development engine for your team.
In doing so, you will benefit from a variety of solution approaches from a wide range of disciplines: cognitive behavioural therapy, conflict transformation, systemic conflict management, conflict management systems, mediation (solution- and problem-focused), non-violent communication, negotiation (incl. the Harvard method), de-escalating conversation management, etc.
Depending on the current specifics of your situation, trainings can have different focuses:
Conflict competence for employees and managers: You want to learn how to communicate more confidently and constructively in stressful situations with colleagues and customers and how to resolve conflicts independently. The training can be tailored to the specific requirements of your role (employee or manager).
Conflict counsellor: You want to learn how to support others as a “neutral third party” (coach, trainer, mediator) to clarify and resolve acute conflicts between two or more parties or in a team through a structured, voluntary process of conflict resolution (mediation).

Resilient in stressful times
In the face of increasing stress-related illnesses (including burn-out), personal well-being, professional success and fulfilment in life depend more than ever on one’s own mental resilience.
Mental resilience leads to less absenteeism and, in the long run, to higher consistent work productivity. This is an essential resource in a work environment characterised by increasing pressure to meet deadlines and perform.
Studies also show a direct link between leadership behaviour and the health, motivation and performance of employees.
With the help of this seminar, you will increase your mental resilience and thus your ability to deal with crises. You will develop finer antennae in the early recognition and prevention of pathogenic dynamics (incl. burn-out) and develop your personal resilience strategy. To this end, you will acquire a variety of tools along the classic phases of resilience development:
Stress reflection (incl. early warning symptoms of burnout)
Relief techniques (cognitive and emotional)
Reorientation (incl. further techniques, e.g. time management, conflict communication)
You will benefit from a variety of approaches from different disciplines: resilience research, salutogenesis, cognitive behavioural therapy, positive psychology, human balance training, business yoga, laughter/humour research, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), time management, happiness research, wingwave etc.
Depending on the current specifics of your situation, trainings can have different focuses:
Resilience/stress competence for employees and managers: You want to learn how to deal with stressful situations more confidently and constructively and prevent burnout. The training can be tailored to the specific requirements of your role (employee or manager).
Resilience coach / resilience trainer: You want to learn how you can support other people as a coach or trainer to become more resilient and able to cope with stress.

Communicate effectively
“You can’t not communicate”. Whenever people come together, communication occurs. Communication is the central operation underlying all teams and organisations.
About 25 per cent of corporate turnover depends on the quality of communication. Effective communication contributes to many things that make teams and organisations collectively smarter and thus more problem-solving and responsive. It also determines the success or failure of implementing newer process management frameworks, such as Scrum, Design Thinking or Highly Adaptive Project Management, which have proven particularly effective under conditions characterised by a great deal of unpredictability and unplannability.
Effective communication starts at several levels, which can be specifically trained and developed in this seminar, for example: Interpersonal communication skills (e.g. “How can I communicate in a way that gets my message across even in stressful situations?”), effective feedback systems (e.g. “How can we come to good shared decisions in a time-efficient way in a team?”), effective knowledge management (e.g. “How do we avoid knowledge silos in our organisation?”).
Depending on the current specifics of your situation, training can have different thematic focuses:
Promoting individual communication skills: giving and receiving feedback constructively, listening actively, remaining constructive even under stress. Even a 1-day training can contribute to a significant increase in competence.
Feedback structures: You want to improve communication processes in your team and thus increase its collective intelligence. There are many best practice examples and frameworks in practice and research that provide inspiration.
Improve diversity / intercultural communication / interdisciplinary communication: Diversity (be it mixed-gender, intercultural or interdisciplinary) leads to higher problem-solving ability and performance. This is not only a cognitive challenge, but above all a communicative one and can be systematically trained and established.
